Typography Module - Sketchbook

I have successfully managed to reach my personal deadline for this project. I decided that I wanted to get the typography module completed before I went home for the festive holidays. The date I set myself was Monday 11th December. I merged to get everything done by the 7th December. Here are some photographs of my sketchbook which will be submitted on Monday 8th January.

Instagram Account

I have been doing this for a few days now and its going well. My followers are going up and so far I have managed to post something everyday. I did struggle a bit with what I will post, I feel this may be an issue in the future.

Instagram Design Account

I have decided to create an Instagram account specifically for showing my work. On this account, I will produce live streams of what I am doing and, I will post at least 1 picture a day of what I have been up to design wise. I am using it as another way of documenting/ blogging what I have done. I decided to do this because, it will help get my name and work out in the world. Online Portfolio - Explanation

Once I had produced my research, action plan and CV, I moved on to creating my online portfolio. I decided to make my portfolio online rather than physical because, it targets my specific career employers, graphic design agencies. Graphic design agencies usually look for both digital and printed work however, the majority want digital. Having an online portfolio means, employers can view my work while they look through my CV. This is beneficial because, it allows the employer to get a feel and better understanding of how I work. However, physical portfolios have their benefits too. Work can look different printed compared to being seen on a screen therefor, depending on the career I am going for, has an impact on whether a physical or online portfolio would be better. 500 words - Community of Practise

Community of practise When I have graduated from university, I would like to work as a graphic designer. I have decided to select this community of practice because, it allows me to work on a range of different outcomes. I love making a visual statement that represents more than just what is shown. I want to work with people and sum up everything that they, or the company stands for in a piece of art that conveys emotions and a message. I love producing clean crisp looking final pieces. In most graphic design briefs, you must work within a client's boundaries; however, in my opinion, within these boundaries you have the flexibility to put your own stamp on the piece and to unleash your creative flair. I take pride in all my work and enjoy the development process from initial idea to finished piece. I feel graphic design is a necessity and without it the world be a less exciting and dull place.
