Degree Show: Rewind

To select a brand for the degree show, we was asked to split ourselves into groups and come up with our own brand. My group went with my idea called REWIND. What is REWIND? REWIND is about going back to the beginning of our graphic design journey starting from the 1st day of University. Due to us going back in time, I want to execute this idea using the style of VHS & Cassette types based in the era of the 90's. This is also a good place to rewind to because, we are born in the last few years of the 90's which means, we are the last 90's babies. The design of the show would be playful, bold and energetic. This will be reflected & represented using the glitch style and RGB colours of VHS and TV's from the time. Here is some images of development: Here are the final designs:

Photography shoot I decided to purchase a piggy bank and brake it so that the design o the cover of the book would be complete produced by myself. Here are some of the photographs I took.

Andrew Cotton from Pressision

February 6th 2019 Today we had guest  talk and presentation from Andrew Cotton from Pressision of Leeds. He allowed us to see s ome  creative prints along with  a mazing examples of what is possible with beautiful stock and care. I learnt the importance to  detail  and attention - and how the finish has an impact. He showed us examples of work including printing with brick dust, coal dust, creativity and passion! Below are images of the talk.
